ALAN "Renegade" LIVETT.
Alan has been line dancing, teaching, touring and choreographing for a number of years and is a well-known face on the dance circuit.
He started his own clubs in the early 90`s and has gone from strength to strength.
Apart from introducing a number of dances that are now considered "standards". Alan was also a driving force forward in bringing choreographers to the UK.
He first brought over world famous choreographer, Miss Jo Thompson, who he had admired for years for her choreography, ability and wonderful personality.
Next came an assortment of top choreographers and World champion dancers including, the one and only Scott Blevins, Pedro Machado, Jamie Davis, Robyn April, Jackie Morrow, John Robinson and Bill Bader.
Check out their biographies, and links.
Not a bad portfolio.

He has co-written with a number of top choreographers and these, plus the rest of his own works can be found on the dance pages.
Alan's first piece of own choreography, "F.T.B. (For The Beginner?)", actually an advanced dance, was entered at the U.C.W.D.C. World championships in Nashville in 1998 and placed 5th. It was then used for the 1999 championships in Texas, where Alan was also one the official workshop instructors. Quite an honour.
Alan toured Australia with Jo Thompson in 1998, where the two of them choreographed "Cinco De Mayo"
His first Latin style break on 2 cha cha, "Pase`o Cha Cha" was placed 3rd at the "London Classics" last August. Check it out. It's tricky, but worth a try and is already being taught in Canada, America, and across the Uk by such renowned instructors as Scott Blevins and Rob Fowler.
The latest dance from Alan is "Say What?" and was written at the request of the one and only Rick Tippe for a track of the same name from his latest album.
Apart from everything else, Alan decided last year to enter competition dancing and at his first competition at Paris in June came first in two dances and second in one placing, 1st overall.
This makes him the current French "Open Male Advanced Champion".
Carrying on to qualify for the World Championships Alan took three of the four dances in his division at the "London Classic" to be placed first overall in "Crystal Advanced".
At the U.C.W.D.C. World Championships 2000, in Nashville, Alan was placed 2nd overall in Male Advanced Crystal. His dance "Pase`o Cha Cha" was placed 4th overall in choreography out of some 45 entries.
He also finds time in between the touring, teaching and judging to coach people for both general dance and competition and is very strict on the basic grounding of good technique.
